Empowering Young Women through Education and Opportunity
Varanasi, April 2026: Marking a significant milestone in its mission to advance educational equity and women’s empowerment, GAIL Utkarsh Super 80, Varanasi—an all-girls residential coaching initiative under the CSR aegis of GAIL (India) Limited—proudly announces that all 30 students from its current JEE batch have successfully cleared JEE Main 2026, qualifying for the next stage, JEE Advanced. This achievement represents the second consecutive year of a 100% success rate for the programme.
Among the high achievers, five students secured above the 95 percentile, with Janhavi Gupta emerging as the centre topper, scoring an impressive 98.43 percentile.
Established in 2021 & implemented by the Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), the Varanasi centre offers 11 months of intensive, fully residential coaching at no cost—supporting 30 girls preparing for JEE and 50 for NEET. Selection is conducted through a rigorous merit-based process, with a focus on talented students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with an annual family income of ₹4 lakhs. The initiative began earlier in Kanpur in 2009, offering JEE coaching for boys, and was later expanded to Haldwani in 2018 for both boys and girls, further widening access to quality education.
As GAIL’s first all-girls residential coaching centre, Super 80 Varanasi stands as a strong testament to the organization’s commitment to promoting STEM education among young women, aligned with national priorities of inclusive growth and women-led development. Since its inception, the centre has supported 121 girls, of whom 25 have secured admission to IITs, 33 to NITs, and 50 to state government engineering colleges across the country.
This year’s exceptional outcome underscores the transformative power of access, mentorship, and sustained support—reaffirming GAIL’s vision of empowering the next generation, one young woman at a time.
