Applause Entertainment appears to be making a significant impact at the latest edition of the Jio MAMI Film Festival, with many of their productions receiving rave reviews. Among these, the spotlight shines on “Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa,” a murder mystery directed by Rajat Kapoor. During the festival, the film’s team had the opportunity to share their enchanting experience working with Rajat.
The film’s intriguing plot revolves around a murder that transpires during an anniversary party, unleashing a series of thrilling moments as all the attendees become prime suspects when their acid-tongued, bullying friend is discovered dead with his throat slit. The central mystery of identifying the murderer forms the core of the remaining story.
Talking about this project, Rajat Kapoor shared, “When I found what excited me about the film, it was just a matter of filling that space with the people you know, the characters who are fun, and the stories you want to tell with those characters.”
The stellar cast of “Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa” includes Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, Waluscha D’souza, Saurabh Shukla, Neil Bhoopalam, Danish Hussain, Koel Puri, Sharat Katariya, Sadia Siddiqui, M. K. Raina, Chandrachoor Rai, and Palomi Ghosh. This murder mystery, written and directed by Rajat Kapoor, is produced by Applause Entertainment in collaboration with Mithya Talkies Production.
