Beyond Borders: An Art and Culture Festival

The week-long celebration of Beyond Borders: An Art and Culture Festival was initiated by Kumar Vikas Saxena of Empowerment in association with LT Foundation and TAG Art Gallery, New Delhi. The festival brings together 20 distinguished artists—10 from India and 10 from international backgrounds—who showcase their artistic expressions, fostering a mesmerizing confluence of creativity and culture.

The festival commenced with a grand preview party, featuring a ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Ashok Vajpeyi, Mr. Niren Sengupta, Ms. Uma Jain, and Ms. Leela Samson. Notable embassy officials also attended, including H.E. Ms. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Slovenia’s Ambassador; Mr. Michael Pal from the Austrian Embassy; Ms. Nirosha K. Herath from the Sri Lanka Embassy; and Mr. Josue Abel Diaz Villegas from Guatemala.

Special guests included Mr. Safir Anand, Senior Partner at Anand and Anand; Mr. Kishori Lal Sharma, Hon’ble Member of Parliament; and Shri Chanchal Kumar, Principal Secretary of the North-East Development Corporation, Government of India. Their presence added prestige and significance to the festival.

The participating artists, both Indian and international, presented diverse perspectives through their work. Indian artists such as Anup Kumar Chand, Kanchan Chander, Kumar Vikas Saxena, Manish Pushkale, Niren Sengupta, Nupur Kundu, and Pooja Pawar showcased their distinctive artistic expressions. Meanwhile, international artists, including Carola Minssieux Gliesch, Dorothee Ledermann, Eszter Tari, Julia Bugram, Karmen Bajec, Nikoletta Antonopoulou, Nikola Markovic, Nurlan Kilibaev, Theepatis Boonvijitnititorn, and Zuriya Koon, enriched the festival with their global artistic insights.

Kumar Vikas Saxena stated that the festival’s artists would visit historical landmarks, the Hastkala Craft Museum, and Old Delhi to experience India’s architecture, folk art, and religious harmony. They will also conduct workshops at Treasure Art Gallery and visit artist Niren Sengupta’s studio. The event also saw the presence of notable embassy officials such as H.E.
