Kolkata, 13th January, 2024: CIO Association / CIO Klub is a not-for-profit association of CIOs across India founded in 2008 with the ideology to foster a robust technological transformation in the country celebrates 5th Anniversary of the Kolkata Chapter today at Taj Bengal, Kolkata which was attended by 120+ CIOs from various parts of the country and even neighbouring Bangladesh. Apart from Kolkata and other PAN India Metro cities, several CIOs from nearby cities like Guwahati, Dhanbad and Raipur are also attending.

Speaking to the media, Man Mohan Goyal, President of CIO Klub Kolkata Chapter said, “CIO Klub is an initiative of the leading technocrats of the country, comprising CIOs, CISOs and Chief Digital Officers from varied industry verticals across India and the Middle East. Currently there are more than 1600 CIOs of various organizations in India as members of Association. We are overwhelmed by the participation of over 120 CIOs representing 100 large organizations from all around the country and over twenty IT companies coming forward for technology discussions. Most recent technology trends and their usefulness to business were discussed and many CIOs have expressed desire to introduce the new technologies in their respective organizations. CIO Klub intends to take the discussions forward by introducing more focused sessions like AI / Gen AI, Data Protection Laws and Standards in India etc.”
The CIO Klub has always been in the endeavor to create a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing and networking and has been helping digital leaders maximize their potential by meeting like-minded professionals and providing them opportunities to get enriched for groundbreaking technologies. Through networking, the members of the CIO Klub scale up their businesses and further contribute to the Indian economy by becoming flag bearers of the government’s flagship initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, and Self-reliant India.
CIO Klub is governed by a central Governing body (GB) and Chapter Councils. There are 14 chapters in India – Delhi NCR, Punjab in the North, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune & Goa in the West, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore & Kerala in the South, and Kolkata in the East. Also there is one International Chapter in Dubai as well as plans for more International Chapters in Singapore, Colombo & Dhaka.
