It sounds easy, but this journey of becoming a chef first and then becoming a business woman was full of struggle for Kainaz Messman.
Kainaz belongs to a family where people are fond of cooking and eating different types of food. With the help of her mother, Kainaz has been learning cooking since childhood. At the age of 16, she went to France on a trip with her family, this trip changed her life, during this trip she decided that she wanted to become a chef.
Followed her passion even after the accident
Following her dreams, Kainaaz did her graduation from the country’s renowned “Indian Hotel Management”, Mumbai. After this, she also went to “Oberoi Center of Learning and Development” to learn cooking skills. After completing her studies, she also worked as a pastry chef at “Oberoi Udaivilas” in Udaipur.
Kainaaz loved her work a lot but there came a time when she had to quit her job. She had an accident at the age of 24, after which she had to remain bedridden for a long time. Doctors said that she would not be able to work as a chef in future because for this work she has to stand on her feet all day.
Today Theobroma has become a business venture worth crores
This statement of the doctor was going to break Kainaaz’s heart and dreams but she did not give up. Till now she used to work only as a chef, but after this accident, she decided to start her own business. For this business, she borrowed one crore from her father and along with her sister Tina Messman, started a bakery business in 2004, which is famous today as Theobroma.
Today Theobroma has more than 78 outlets across the country which are present in big cities and big hotels of every country. This business, which started with a budget of just 1 crore, has become a venture of more than 121 crores as per the financial year of the year 2021. Kainaaz’s father never took back the one crore rupees he gave, but said that keep taking the purpose for which he had given this money further. Kainaaz Messman built this business of hers on the strength of her talent and hard work, her story has become an inspiration for many today.
