Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI), celebrated its 25th Foundation Day at Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi. The event showcased unwavering zeal and camaraderie towards the achievement of all these years.
The event was addressed by many top-notch industry veterans who discussed and delivered insights into organizational behavior.
The event honored the founders, recognizing their visionary efforts and selfless service that laid the foundation for IAAPI’s success over the past quarter-century. Founder members Mr. N. D. Rana, Mr. Rajen Shah, and Mr. Balwant Chawla shared their inspiring journey of building IAAPI from scratch, imparting invaluable lessons to the members.
Insightful sessions unfolded throughout the day, with Professor Ranjeet Nambudiri from IIM Indore delivering profound insights into organizational behavior. Mr. Shrikant Goenka, Chairman of IAAPI, highlighted the association’s significant achievements under his leadership, including enhanced collaboration and the announcement of the upcoming IAAPI Expo in February 2024, expected to be the largest ever.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of IAAPI’s rebranded look, featuring a new logo and theme. The association introduced a user-friendly website, a member portal, and a mobile app. Pradeep Sharma discussed IAAPI’s initiatives on safety in amusement, and a market assessment report in collaboration with PWC projected substantial industry growth.
Panel discussions with elite speakers, including figures from the Ministry of Tourism, Wonderla, Imagica, Pacific Malls, TimeZone, Guardian Media, Food Forum, and TAAI, added depth to the celebration. The day concluded with a warm thank-you note from Mr. Ankur Maheshwary, Vice Chairman of IAAPI, highlighting the event’s success and contributions from organizers Mr. Prashant Kanoria, Mr. Maneesh Verma, and Mr. Ajay Sarin.With profound takeaways for all participants, the evening concluded with live music and a gastronomic feast, marking a memorable 25th Foundation Day celebration for IAAPI.
