Naatscorp Launches Claé by Teregie, to 400+ Physiotherapists in Bengaluru, defining a New approach to Ergonomic Seating

Coimbatore-based deeptech company unveils its first lifestyle product backed by more than 20,000 hours of research and development, challenging the conventional idea that a chair should keep the human body in a single posture.

Bengaluru, July 28, 2026: How long can a person remain in one “correct” sitting position?

According to Engineers and designers at Naatscorp, that may be the wrong question.

The Coimbatore-based deeptech company unveiled its first product Clae under their lifestyle brand – Teregie, at the Bangalore Physiotherapists Network Colloquium 2026, held at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru. The launch was witnessed by more than 400 physiotherapists and healthcare professionals from across India.

The event marked the public debut of a seating system developed after intense study of human anthropometric data integrated with five biomimetic features, centred around a simple observation: human beings do not sit still.

Watch someone working at a desk and the pattern is immediately visible. They lean forward to read, recline to think, shift their weight, cross their legs or turn to speak to someone. These movements are not necessarily signs of poor posture or restlessness. They are part of normal human behaviour.

Yet, most conventional office chairs are designed around the concept of maintaining a “single” correct posture.

Good posture is not one position you hold all day. Nobody can do that, and telling people to try has never worked,” said Nidhinnath Viswanathan, Founder of Naatscorp. “The real question is whether a chair can continue supporting the body while it moves, instead of trying to stop it from moving.

That question became the foundation for Claé.

Designed to Support Movement, Not Restrict It

Unlike conventional chairs that rely on a single, solid backrest, Claé features a system of independent back pads, each mounted on an adaptive spring structure specially designed to flex with the user’s movements.

As the user leans, turns or changes posture, the pads are designed to move with the body and maintain contact across multiple support points. The objective is to create a seating experience that adapts to changes while maintaining the posture.

The adaptive backrest mechanism is part of Naatscorp’s intellectual property portfolio.

The rest of the chair follows the same philosophy of adaptability.

The lumbar support adjusts in both height and depth to accommodate different spinal curves. The upper back pads can expand to accommodate different shoulder widths. The headrest offers multi-directional adjustment, while the armrests provide five-dimensional adaptability, including rotation, to support different working activities such as typing, using a mouse or holding a phone.

Claé also features a reclining mechanism of up to 135 degrees, multiple locking positions, an extended leg rest and a dual-density seat designed with different foam characteristics at the centre and outer areas.

Data and AI Behind the Design

According to Naatscorp, the product development process also involved an in-house artificial intelligence system designed to analyse different sitting positions and distinguish between positions where the body remains adequately supported and those where support is compromised.

Design changes were evaluated against this data, moving beyond the conventional approach of judging a chair primarily by how comfortable it feels during the first few minutes of use.

The company also conducted pre-launch evaluations by placing Claé units in physiotherapy and orthopaedic practices across Bengaluru for more than three months. Feedback from practitioners using the chair during regular working days contributed to the refinement of the final design.

Tested for More Than 950,000 Mechanical Cycles

In addition to its ergonomic design, Claé underwent mechanical performance and safety testing by TÜV Rheinland (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru against the ANSI/BIFMA X5.1-2017 (R2022) standard for office chairs.

Over a 21-day testing period, the chair completed more than 950,000 mechanical test cycles across components including the tilt mechanism, swivel, backrest, seat and armrests. According to the company, the chair passed all applicable tests without loss of serviceability.

A Launch to the Physiotherapy Community

For Naatscorp, launching Claé to an audience dominated by physiotherapists and healthcare professionals was a deliberate choice.

The company positioned the launch not merely as the introduction of another premium office chair, but as the beginning of a conversation around how seating products should respond to real human behaviour.

The launch at the BPN Colloquium brought together clinicians and professionals whose work involves understanding movement, posture and musculoskeletal function, providing a fitting platform for the introduction of a product built around the principle that movement is a natural part of sitting.

With Claé, Naatscorp is now entering the health lifestyle market through the Teregie brand, bringing its deep technology and product-development experience into a category traditionally dominated by conventional ergonomic design.
