As the highly anticipated patriotic spectacle ‘Operation Valentine’ gears up for its release week, the unwavering support from the Varun Tej family stands out as a testament to the actor’s success.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, uncle to Varun Tej, shared his heartfelt sentiments upon witnessing the film for the first time at the pre-release event.
“Varun Tej extended his invitation for me to attend this event, which sheds light on the sacrifices of our real-life heroes. Without a moment’s hesitation, I agreed,” remarked Chiranjeevi. “I was informed that the film centers on the Pulwama attack, paying homage to the 40 CRPF soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. ‘Operation Valentine’ portrays the Indian Air Force’s response as a tribute to these brave souls.”
Commending the meticulous research conducted by Shakti Pratap Singh for ‘Operation Valentine,’ Chiranjeevi emphasized the importance of such films in instilling patriotism. “Movies like ‘Operation Valentine’ should thrive, stirring patriotism within us. It’s crucial for the youth to immerse themselves in narratives like these,” he asserted. “Completed within a modest budget in just 75 days, this film showcases the potential for innovation in Tollywood. I believe Shakti Pratap Singh’s work will inspire directors across the industry.”
Reflecting on Varun Tej’s career choices, Chiranjeevi praised his divergence from the conventional path. “I’m delighted that Varun Tej is forging his own journey, exploring diverse genres and seizing unique opportunities. His versatility shines through his performances,” he remarked. “While there have been numerous military-themed films, ‘Operation Valentine’ stands out as the first Telugu film in the aerial action genre. Having experienced the visual spectacle of films like ‘Top Gun Maverick,’ I’m thrilled that such cinematic brilliance is now being realized in Telugu cinema.”
‘Operation Valentine’ is a collaborative effort by Sony Pictures International Productions, Renaissance Pictures (Sandeep Mudda), and co-producers God Bless Entertainment (Vakil Khan) and Nandakumar Abbineni. Marking the directorial debut of Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, a seasoned ad-film maker and VFX enthusiast, the film is poised for release on March 1, 2024, in Telugu and Hindi, boasting a script penned by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Aamir Khan, and Siddharth Raj Kumar.
