While presenting the interim budget on Thursday, Sitharaman said that the government will bring UDAN scheme on 517 new routes to connect small cities.

What is the flight plan?

It has been started by the Aviation Ministry for 10 years. Its main objective is to cover and connect remote areas. Besides, connectivity has to be increased to small cities also. Under this scheme, a target has been set to develop 100 airports by 2024 and this scheme has completed 5 years.
