Where Indian Embroidery Meets Global Football: The Rise of Kora Sakura

I wanted to share a story that sits at the intersection of culture, craft, and youth entrepreneurship.

My name is Nishant Singh, a 26-year-old founder living between India and Europe, and the creator of Kora Sakura a luxury artwear label that turns football jerseys into hand-embroidered collectible pieces, crafted by Indian artisans.

The idea started when I noticed that in Europe, embroidered jerseys cost ₹30,000–₹32,000 completely out of reach for most young fans. Growing up around Indian embroidery, I realized I could create something new:

football culture reimagined through Indian craftsmanship, at an accessible price, without losing exclusivity or artistry.

Each jersey takes nearly a week of hand embroidery, no machines, no shortcuts. I run limited drops of 50 pieces, each numbered, never restocked, and every design blends French, Japanese, and Indian influences.

What began as a personal passion project has turned into a fast-growing youth brand, with customers in India, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East all coming through organic demand and storytelling.

I believe this story would resonate with your readers because it’s about:

  • A young founder building a niche luxury category from scratch
  • Blending artisanal Indian heritage with global football culture
  • A bootstrapped startup creating community-driven drop culture
  • Creativity, fashion, and entrepreneurship meeting in one place

Thank you for your time,

Nishant Singh
