Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Amusement Industry Meet in Hyderabad

Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) which is apex body representing the interests of Amusement Park, Theme Park, Water park, Snow Park, Adventure Park, Indoor amusement centres, Games Zone in India organised “Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Member Meet” in Hyderabad.

Sumit Ahuja, Telangana State Chairman- IAAPI shared the objective of the meeting which was to connect with members as well as non-members across the state to understand core issues faced by the industry and take feedback & suggestions to represent them with respective ministries at state & central government.

He also highlighted the importance of addressing industry-specific training needs. He encouraged members to share inputs so IAAPI can organize relevant training programs to enhance skills and services.

Ankur Maheshwary, Vice Chairman- IAAPI shared the association’s initiatives in collaborating with various state governments to position the amusement sector as a key driver of tourism and elaborated on IAAPI’s representations to integrate amusement parks as essential tourism destinations in state tourism policies. He also shared updates on the upcoming Amusement Expo 2024, scheduled for February 19–21, 2024, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

Mr. Maneesh Verma, Director & Membership Chairman- IAAPI outlined IAAPI’s initiatives to promote amusement and theme parks as key drivers of domestic tourism and called for increased memberships to strengthen the industry.

Members discussed improving quality services to guests, support of the state tourism board in promoting amusement parks and theme parks in the state’s promotion campaign, increasing member services and promoting the amusement sector as key drivers in domestic tourism in the state.

Mr. Sainath Kandi, Andhra Pradesh State Chairman- IAAPI in his remarks expressed the gratitude to all participants for their valuable insights and emphasized the collective efforts required to tackle challenges and promote growth in the amusement and recreation sector. He encouraged members to remain united and actively engage in IAAPI’s initiatives to ensure sustained progress for the industry.
